About The Betti Boop Band

The Betti Boop Big Band is a Bedfordshire based Community Swing Band who rehearse in the Luton and Dunstable area. Since it's conception in 1996, the band has accumulated a vast repertoire which now consists of swing standards through to more contemporary arrangements and songs.

We are a non-profit making organisation, whose aim is to encourage young and old musicians from diverse backgrounds to rehearse and perform together. We currently have 22 members, of varying ages, abilities and races but all with a compelling interest in Big Band music.

In turn, we share our experiences by playing at a variety of venues, the majority of our performances being for charities, community groups and schools, for whom we have raised a considerable amount of money.

Music is for fun which is really expressed by the band when performing so sit back and listen and see if you can stop your feet from tapping.
